We’ll utilise the well being model to put patient care and safety at the heart of everything we do through assessing prisoners across 5 domains of; physical and mental well being, substance misuse, relationships and resettlement. The patient and clinician complete a well being wheel assessment to set goals and outcomes in partnership. The patient will complete the assessment and any needs identified will be met by our fully integrated service delivery team.
To ensure quality of care we’re looking for Registered Nurse’s to support us and the existing team in this new venture.
As a Nurse, you can expect to be involved in everything from clinical triage to the evaluation and development of patient care and standards. You’ll carry out – and potentially develop – nurse-led clinics, reviewing patient histories, undertaking relevant examinations and tests, organising any necessary treatment and referring patients to other health care professionals when you need to. Across everything you do, you’ll maintain accurate records and provide the kind of helpful, empathetic support that will make every patient feel at ease.
As a Nurse with valid NMC registration, you’ll bring a good knowledge of clinical governance and experience of carrying out clinical audits. We’ll want to see evidence of your continued professional development, and a real passion for taking your skills even further. It goes without saying that you’ll have a solid understanding of health and safety, along with exemplary record keeping skills. Self-motivated and able to work autonomously, you’ll show plenty of initiative when it comes to handling a wide range of situations.
Beyond that, you should have a flexible approach and the ability to achieve changing priorities by managing your own time.
Please note that employment is subject to receipt of satisfactory references, enhanced DBS check and prison vetting.
